30 patients with Covid-19 had a severe prognosis

Consultation of severe Covid-19 patients, on the afternoon of August 25, Professor Nguyen Gia Binh said that doctors were working hard to save these patients. Severe illness cases are mainly treated at Hoa Vang Field Hospital, Da Nang Lung Hospital, Hue Central Hospital, Hanoi Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
"There is no general treatment formula for patients, but each patient needs to base on the actual situation to adjust drug use and clinical and subclinical indications," said Professor Binh, the head Covid-19 consultation and treatment work of the Ministry of Health, said.
The consultation took place online, with hotspots from Hanoi and central hospitals.

"Patient 416" was actively resuscitated at Da Nang Lung Hospital.
Doctors at Hoa Vang Field Hospital said that out of 131 patients being treated here, there were 10 very serious cases, of which 5 were at high risk of death. Doctors consult the professional council about these 5 patients. Specifically:
"Patient 763", 46 years old, has chronic kidney failure, has had a kidney transplant since 2012 and is on a rejection drug. Currently patients with septic shock, multi-organ failure, pneumonia.
"Patient 758", 34 years old, chronic renal failure, septic shock, multi-organ failure, pneumonia, exhaustion, near death risk.
"Patient 827", 56 years old, a history of cerebral vascular accident, left-hand hemiplegia sequelae, chronic kidney failure.
"Patient 888", 65 years old, with a history of lumbar spondylolisthesis, was admitted to the hospital when vomiting blood, black stools. Currently patients with pneumonia, gastrointestinal bleeding, infections increase.
"Patient 761", 83 years old, a history of chronic renal failure, artificial kidney treatment, dialysis cycle, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe depression only 35 kg.

In addition, the 56-year-old "patient 453", who is being treated at Hoa Vang Hospital with mechanical ventilation for one month, has now been announced from Covid-19, but the prognosis is very severe. Experts are considering transferring patients to Da Nang Hospital for treatment of the underlying disease.
In all 6 cases, the consultation team discussed and agreed on the best treatment and drug use plan for patients with the motto of maximum effort.
Da Nang Lung Hospital has 3 serious patients who need consultation. Doctor Tran Thanh Linh, from Cho Ray Hospital in charge of the active resuscitation plaintiff, said "patient 416" is still maintaining ECMO, mechanical ventilation, currently very much pulmonary fibrosis. The patient was hospitalized for 31 days, with a long and difficult prognosis because of many underlying diseases, depending entirely on ECMO.
The other two severe cases were "patient 742", heart failure, 13th day ECMO intervention, and "patient 996", 28 years old, with acute leukemia, increased dyspnea, continuous dialysis.
At the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, "patient 793", 58 years old, is also progressing seriously.
Professor Binh suggested that the Medical Examination and Treatment Administration coordinate with the Drug Administration of Vietnam and the hospital to promptly import drugs at the request of the Professional Council to respond to treatment of severe patients.
